Medical AI for Busy Doctors: Crucial Concepts in less than 10 minutes
I’ve started a series of videos for physicians that explains crucial concepts in AI/ML. I feel strongly that we need more physicians to understand how this technology works, or our field risks being moved to the sidelines of innovation and care. Physicians often feel too busy or that the information is too complicated, and this video series is a first step in giving them the understanding they need to impact the future of medicine.

- Chat GPT can be a pretty good personal language tutor. Type in “Act as a Spanish tutor” for example, and you can converse in your chosen language. Though with Microsoft’s proposed VALL-E X, we all might be able to speak a different language with our own voices
- Microsoft announced an ambient Dragon system based on its acquisition of Nuance in 2022, with others competing in the space (Nabla etc). Goal is to decrease physician charting time. It claims a 70% decrease in physician burnout and fatigue which sounds perhaps unrealistically high for charting software.
